Flying with Iberia

Iberia was founded in 1927 and has its headquarters located in Madrid, Spain. It is the country's national flag carrier and currently operates a worldwide network of services from its hub at Madrid-Barajas Airport. Iberia is part of the oneworld alliance and offers flights to over 100 destinations, including those through its various codeshare airlines. Codeshare agreements include partnerships with airlines such as American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, TAM Airlines and Air Berlin. Its fleet totals over 75 aircraft.

In 2010, Iberia and British Airways merged making it one of the world's largest airlines, however, both have continued to function under their current brand names. Iberia flights include numerous international destinations as well as local flights to Spanish cities such as Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid and Santiago de Compostela. Passengers are able to get flights from Iberia to locations within Italy such as Milan, Rome and Venice.
